I have a confession to make…
Turning 41 this year and becoming a grandmother got me thinking about changing up my skincare routine. Up until now, I had been getting away with using mediocre products that didn’t really offer any long-term results other than moisturizing my skin. The impetus that I needed to make the switch came when I discovered that I only had a few drops left of my Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum.
From that moment onwards, I decided it was time to start researching if there were natural skincare products that didn’t contain any nasties, and that provided real results for my maturing skin!
Then like magic, a few days after the idea hit me, I received a message from a company that claimed to have the most potent anti-aging skincare products on the market. I usually ignore messages from brands asking me to promote their products, however this time it felt different. I couldn’t put this down to just coincidence. So, taking my recent epiphany into account, I decided to look into the company that slipped into my inbox.
Those that know me, will know that I am not one to promote products. In all the years I have had my Instagram account I have never promoted a single product. It’s just not my jam.
But I decided to look into this company because I was already looking to switch to a decent skincare range that ticked all my boxes, and I kind of felt like there was some divine intervention at play!
The first thing I always do when researching a new product is; I go straight to the list of ingredients. Doing that alone usually saves me so much time as I am dead against using anything unnatural on my skin. I invest so much money, time, and energy cleansing toxins out of my body, I am not exactly going to go and put toxins back into my body via my skin! Sure enough, these serums were entirely made from plants. Tick!
Then I usually make sure that the company has sustainable and ethical practices. Tick!
So, for the first time ever, I decided to reply to the message in my inbox and soon enough I received some products in the mail to trial. Before I team up with any company, I want to be certain that the products actually work, and I was glad that the company was on the same page!
From the moment I opened up the eco-friendly package, and read the little leaflet inside, which read:
“Let’s face it. For years, the cosmetic industry has been feeding us chemicals wrapped in pretty packaging with the promise of results. Even the natural alternatives are so watered down, they’re ineffective. We’re left with shelves full of claims, counters full of products, and nothing that truly delivers. It’s time to tell the truth- the most effective compounds are grown not manufactured. So stop settling for temporary manipulation and aesthetic fixes when you can heal your skin from the outside in. We’re proving you can have it all- skincare that’s good for you with results you can’t deny. It’s time to take back your skin. Welcome to the revolution.”
I was all in! Whether it was clever marketing or not, those words really resonated!
On a newfound mission to find the best natural skin care products on the planet, I was fully committed to putting my skin to the test, and I began using these remarkable serums in pretty blue glass bottles that had pungent aromatherapy smells, which reminded me of being in a day spa.
On the first application, I could literally feel my skin heating up. Apparently, this was a normal sensation and a sign that the product was working. I soon got used to the warm tingling sensation, which told me that something was actually happening to my skin!
After the first week of using Serum 1 and The Cure, I saw a change in my skin tone and texture and by the end of the month, I saw a noticeable difference in my overall complexion. Including smaller pores, even skin tone, silky soft to touch (like a baby’s bottom!) deep hydration (I was prone to dry skin), and I noticed an overall glow to my skin.
It’s now been over a month since I first started using the serums and I am astounded by my results! In fact, I was so impressed with my results that after speaking to the Creator and Founder of Herbal Face Food, J. Michael Zenn, who has very similar values and ethics to me regarding health and wellness, I decided to help spread the word so others could benefit from these remarkable serums!
Herbal Face Food products are made from 100 per cent plants (not plant-based!) which are organic and/or wild harvested. The ingredients are sustainably and ethically sourced, GMO-free, and they contain 20 of the most powerful anti-aging botanicals and the 20 rarest botanicals in the world!
And what’s more impressive is these serums are the most potent anti-aging and multi correction serums ever tested (ORAC Anti-Aging Test) on the market. Vitamin C serums don’t even come close to the ORAC rating (an ORAC score is a method developed by scientists at the National Institute of Health and Aging to measure the antioxidant capacity of different foods) that these serums have! It is literally food for your skin!
Putting the powerful anti-aging effects aside, I have worked with many clients who have suffered from terrible skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, melasma, dryness, and redness and my usual approach is to heal these conditions from the inside by cleaning up the liver, which is the storehouse for viruses, viral by product and toxins, removing toxic heavy metals like copper, which is behind eczema and psoriasis, and killing off strep which is behind acne.
However, these serums actually work to heal the skin from the outside in and they are great to use in conjunction with a toxic-free lifestyle!
Considering that your liver plays a huge role in the health of your skin, here are some additional tips that will create clear radiant skin from the inside out:
- Eat low fat
- Eat beta carotene-rich foods. Think orange foods including mangoes, papayas, sweet potatoes, and melons.
- Eat foods that are high in silica including kale stems, artichokes, and asparagus.
- Drink lemon water, celery juice, and the heavy metal detox smoothie every day and spaced 15-30 minutes apart from each other
- Take nettle leaf tincture daily (alcohol-free.) Nettle is a great collagen booster and far supersedes any collagen supplement.
- Avoid caffeine, salt, and vinegar. These items are severely dehydrating, and nothing ages your skin faster than caffeine!
- Hydration is key. Be sure to drink at least 1 litre of living water throughout the day. Cucumber juice is also amazing for the skin because it cleanses your entire body including your lymphatic system where skin problems often brew before erupting through to the surface.
So, if you are suffering from any kind of skin condition, or if you are just wanting a decent skincare range with powerful anti-aging properties, I encourage you to give Herbal Face Food a try, and if you want to address your skin concerns from all angles use Herbal Face Food alongside the steps above!
